Stupid People Shouldn't Breed

Today was both good and bad. Let's start with the bad. I don't want to bore you with all of the gory details. But what I hate more than anything in the world is for someone to make me look stupid in front of other people when it isn't justified. I don't care what your position is. If you are wrong or don't have all the facts, then keep it to yourself! Also, if you don't know what you are doing, then admit it! I spent way to much time today with someone that claimed to know what they were doing, but didn't. Then, when I attempted to help, they said I was wrong. Even better? I was right but because they didn't trust what I was saying, wasted another 15 minutes of my day. I enjoy sitting on my butt doing nothing but looking pretty...

I could go on and on but I want to get to the good/scary part of my day. The regional director position is going to be available very soon. Good in that I want to advance and this is one of the next steps. Scary in that I have no idea what the position entails or if I am qualified for it. Don't get me wrong, I have every intention of applying for it. However, it's just a little scary. I thought when I took this position I was going to be done with interviews...I'm looking at it this way ~ even if I don't get it, the experience of interviewing is going to be fantastic. I am also getting my name out there and my face in the right place. Just wish me luck...

Alright, I am working on a friend's computer and it is riddled with viruses...good thing I charge by the hour...I better get back to it.

That's what I'm talkin about!

On the way home from a very long 10 hours at work, I had the sudden urge to take a bubble bath. I stopped by Walgreens, picked up some foaming bath and candles, and headed on home. Now, our bathroom isn't much to talk about; you have to step outside to change your mind. However, it does work effectively for a quiet relaxing bath. I lit the candles, started up the soothing music, and climbed on in. It was awesome! The only downfall? Now I'm too tired to do much of anything else. If you haven't had one in a while (or ever) I highly recommend you take an hour for yourself and enjoy! Now, I must head to bed before I fall over! C'Ya!

Uncle Sam Can Kiss This!

I am thoroughly convinced that the government has it in for us. We went to have our taxes done this evening expecting to have a great refund since Mike and I are both gainfully employeed this year. Well, without knowing we were screwing ourselves, we did. I have been claiming the wrong amount all along. Not to mention the fact that you have to claim your personal property tax payment in the year that you pay them. We were late this year so we didn't pay until 2005. Anyway, long story short, we screwed ourselves on our taxes. Let's just say that we are going to have to pay more than one of my bi-weekly paychecks to cover everything. I felt bad for the lady doing our taxes because we just couldn't believe we owed! Oh well, the only things that are certain in the life are death and taxes...Oh Sweet Death...

Here is the good news! God has a master plan for us because for the past two weeks, Mike has been working a butt-load of overtime. We will have enough to cover it but not much else. It could be worse though...so thank God for that!

Geocaching

Geo-What? Geocaching (www.geocaching.com) is pronounced geocashing. It is a world-wide treasure hunt. Check out the web site for an indepth description. Mike and I looked at it a couple of years ago after hearing about it from one of my classmates online. We didn't think much of it at the time but then we decided to try it out. Once was all it took. We have found well over 200 in the past two years. We generally spend our winter months bundled up out in the woods looking for treasures. It is a great way to get us active and out of the house. We also get the dogs a little exercise as well. Summertime may be warmer but it is also a little more difficult for the foliage and the bugs. We are known as KC_Chiefs and the dogs are the Woof Pack (and yet again I prove to be the biggest fan...). Today was one of the most beautiful days (Spring fever kicks in...). We spent the entire day out in the woods enjoying it. However, now we are all beat.

On a side note, we have a nice thunderstorm moving through town (Spring fever kicks in...). Sedona HATES lightning and thunder. It makes her curl up in the puppy fetal position and hide under the bed. However, since she is so tired tonight, she is actually sitting at my feet instead of hiding. Maybe she is getting over her fear???

I know I'm tired as well so I think I am going to finish up the dishes (sometimes I hate being a woman...) and head to bed. C'ya!

Runza!

Mike has been working in Lawrence for the past couple of weeks. Recently, I found out that there are two Runza Restraunts in Lawrence. Tonight, because I had a baby shower to go to, he decided to stop at Runza for dinner. This is how much he loves me; he bought a runza for me and had it all wrapped up in foil. I love him just about as much as I love Runzas! He was concerned it wasn't going to be warm enough by the time I got to eat it. Luckily, I am a Husker fan. Runza serves as the Nebraska games and they are more luke-warm than hot. How lucky I am!

Not much more to say tonight. I'm not feeling very talkative...C'ya!

How Rude!

I went to Papa Murphey's Pizza this evening to get some dinner (yes...I'm feeling fat now). I was so angry when I left I thought I was going to explode! There were two different checkouts; one for ordering and one for call-in orders. I had called my order in so I stood at that counter. After 1o minutes and watching 3 other people order their pizza, get it and leave, I asked the girl making the pizzas if my pizza was ready. She said I would have to stand in the line for ordering the pizza and they would get it for me. Why on earth would you have two different lines if you have to stand in one. I just couldn't figure out why I would have to call an order in if I have to stand in line to pick it up. I still love the pizza so I won't stop going there but I was really unhappy about the way they did that. I don't recommend calling it in because it won't save you any time.

Okay, now that I am done venting...The OC was a re-run tonight so Mike and I are just working on our laptops while vegetating in the living room. It is suppose to be super nice tomorrow...I wish I hadn't taken Monday off...

Oh well...I'm feeling fat and tired so I think I am going to play a couple of games and head off to bed. C'ya!
