A Song Stuck in My Head...

For some reason, this song popped into my head for Valentine's Day.  It makes me think of my cousin singing it at her sister's wedding and I can see her crinkling her little nose :o)

Performed by: Colbie Caillat

V1: I've been awake for a while now
you've got me feelin like a child now
cause every time i see your bubbly face
i get the tinglies in a silly place

C: It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time
where ever you go

V2: The rain is fallin on my window pane
but we are hidin in a safer place
under the covers stayin dry and warm
you give me feelins that i adore

C: It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes
i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time
where ever you go

B: What am i gonna say
when you make me feel this way
I just........mmmmmmmmmmm

C: It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes
i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time
where ever you go

V3: I’ve been asleep for a while now
You tucked me in just like a child now
Cause every time you hold me in your arms
Im comfortable enough to feel your warmth

C: It starts in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feelin shows
Cause you make me smile
Baby just take your time
Holdin me tight

Where ever, where ever, where ever you go
Where ever, where ever, where ever you go…..

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone I love!!

Future Leader of Corporate America - ME!

One thing that I have committed myself to this year is to develop a little more knowledge of what is going on in the Information Technology field so that I am able to use that information in my current and future positions.  I spend way too much time sitting around on Facebook and not enough time reading up on items that should be really important.  However, on one of the newsletters that I receive in regards to today's technology world, I found an interesting interview in regards to the social networking sites (such as Facebook):

M: What do you say to people who hear the term social software and think it’s only for techies?

David Teten: I think it’s a gross misapprehension – 84 percent of Americans participate in online groups. Particularly for the next generation, it is normative to spend hours per day communicating with your friends via blogs, instant messaging and so on. And those are the folks who are the future leaders of corporate America. It’s rapidly becoming mainstream. And when you’re communicating online, you have to learn the local culture. Everyone is doing this haphazardly, and we’re trying to create a systematic way to learn about these technologies.

So I guess I need to keep doing what I'm doing because my networking on Facebook is leading me to be a future leader in corporate America!

Going back to play some more...

Member Rewards

We all have New Year's Resolutions (even if you won't admit it to anyone).  Mine originally was to lose weight.  With the back problem I had at the end of 2008, that was one that I had to sort of put on hold while I worked to be able to move again.  Well, I am not 100% yet but I am now able to do some exercising.  The best I have found so far is the pool.  Mike and I joined a gym the other day just for the pool.  If you have one of these close to you, I highly recommend checking them out - 24 Hour Fitness.  They have a rewards program that I really must admit is worth it if it means we can get back into shape.  They offer 'medals' for working out at the gym.  The rewards include a coffee maker (just like I got for Christmas) and a razor (just like I bought Mike for Christmas).  These are not 'cheap' gifts.  It really is almost like getting your money back if you can earn the medals.  Just a fun way of working out if you ask me.

Just so you know, I have lost 3 pounds in the 3 weeks since I started counting calories and going to the gym every other day to swim.  I'm also back to being able to walk at a decent pace on the treadmill.  Keep me honest here :o)

Well, I'm off to bed.

Favorite Super Bowl Commercials

Well - it is that time of year again...the $3 Million dollar commercials.  Here are my favorites:

During the game, I decided I wanted to make a matching set for my necklace I made a couple of weeks ago:

I'm excited to wear them tomorrow :o)

Well, we are headed to the gym.

Take the time to write!!

My cousin, pointed out to me a new law that is going to be going into effect soon that will affect many of the small artists out there in the world.  I encourage you to take a look at this web site and write to your local congressmen and senators letting them know how insane this is!!  It is hard enough to be willing to take the chance to start your own business with the talent that you have.  This law looks to me to be making that even more difficult than it already is!!
