But It's a Dry Heat...

WHATEVER! 110 degrees is still hot; dry or wet!

Yup, you guessed it - I spent last week in Phoenix. I was so busy that I didn't have any time to post anything. I got home about 4:30 this afternoon and have been busy with school work and unpacking and such so I am just now getting online to post a little blog about the prior week. I must admit, I'm a little sleepy but not 'fall over dead' tired. It is only 10:00 in Arizona after all...
So I was in Phoenix last week for a technology conference. We used to have these conferences every year for the campus technologists to have the opportunity to meet people at corporate as well as hear the latest and greatest going on in IT. This is the first one that I have been involved in the planning phases and I must admit it has been quite the learning process. It was a great time but I think I managed to fit in about 8 hours of sleep for the entire week! I have a ton of photos so I will have to share a few over the next few days...

This is Scott from St. Louis. Every technology conference I have attended, I have a picture of Scott in his swim trunks...

One of the vendors at the conference was giving out hats to everyone. Here is a photo of myself and Brent being silly with our finger six-shooters:
I watch the Fox news station in Kansas City every single morning as I am getting ready for work. They have the philosophy of having a great time while reporting the news/weather. Whenever I travel, I check out the local Fox stations to see if they can compare to the Kansas City crew. So far, the only other crew I have found even close is the one in Phoenix. So, when I am there, I watch them just as I do when I am at home. Cory McCloskey (the weather man) happened to be at the FireSky resort the final morning of the conference. I went out and asked if it would be okay if I took a photo of him and he offered to take one with me:
We chatted a little after and I made mention of the Fox station in Kansas City and the fact he reminds me of the weather guy on Fox 4. He said that the weather men in the Midwest have a much more difficult job than he does; reporting the weather in Phoenix is pretty easy - sunny and warm or sunny and hot. It was funny!
Alright, you will have to wait until tomorrow to see any more cause right now, I need to head to bed and try to re-adjust to the time zone. Hopefully I will also readjust to the cold temperature cause I don't know that I really want to continue to wear my sweats all summer!
C'ya!
